A magical place to share, learn and have fun. Happy childhood memories start here. Happy children, carefree parents.
First time away from home, these toddlers spend an exciting and a busy day at the Crèche. The environment has appropriate toys for these young ones to practice new skills, satiates their natural curiosity and provides loads of opportunity to explore. Learning words and sentences, touch and feel, see and hear, explore and experience is characteristic of this group. With song and dance, this group is definitely the most musical group of the school. The highlight of the classroom is their very own walk in dollhouse. Free play is an all time favourite occupation of this group under the careful supervision of the teacher.
The school day begins with “Morning Glory” with the sway of the little hips and action songs. This is followed by carpet time where children sit down with their teacher in a circle while she has a little program planned out for them. The children learn by imitating the teacher as she sets an example. Children are creatures of routine and develop best in such an atmosphere.
In this environment Language and Communication is developed. Sounds develop to words and short telegraphic sentences as in “Baby fall”, “Tummy hungry”. To develop the finer motor skills as the first step towards writing, the children tumble into the world of scribbling, culminating to firm strokes. Picture books, name lessons to developing vocabulary, is a routine practice.
Numeracy revolves around ‘everything can be counted, has a colour and a shape.’ Simple activities with song and experience using the five senses are the method used. Sand play and water play are some fun activities they enjoy.First time away from home”‘I am curious, I want to explore and it s all about me” is the personality of this age. Knowledge and Understanding of the World provides the answer with hands-on experiences, song, activity and picture books.
The Crèche children are in a happy environment that is safe and secure, where they start their first interaction with other children of the same age.
Stimulating activities through the medium of song and action rhymes aim at developing children in becoming social and caring.
The children get to use a variety of colourful materials with different textures during Creative development. Role-play is an all time favourite activity as the teacher guides them through.
Physical development for these toddlers means being outdoors and walking on their tiny toes develops to a firm walk. Pull a toy and walk, up and down the small stairs, walking on the line, tumbling fun and ball games, are some activities to develop the gross motor skills.
So do make a beeline to the finest Crèche in town!
Stay up-to-date on upcoming events, future plans and a lot more fun stuff.
